The Latin cantons ask to the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health to refuse "any excessive premium increase" of Healthcare insurance in 2006.
They also wish more pressure on the insurers holding important superfluous reserves.
The increases of premiums foreseen by certain insurers turn out again sharply higher that the growth of the costs of the health, regretted on Friday the member cantons of the Conference of French-speaking Switzerland of the sanitary and social affair (CRASS). And this "without any correction brought to the overestimations of the previous years".
Measures not integrated into the calculation of the premiums. According to the communiqué of the CRASS, the determination of the premiums 2006 by the insurers does not consider the measures of stabilization of the costs: blocking of the rates of the EMS and healthcare at home since 2004, hospitable economic plannings by-elections, mechanism of neutrality of the costs with TARMED, increase of the minimal franchising in 2004, increase of the franchisings with option in 2005.
Besides, the major part of boxes content with increasing their forecasts in a linear way without taking into account peculiarities of every sector. For the CRASS, all these overestimations led to excessive reserves at the insurers.
